In the 1970's and 1980's there was a great deal of interest in scientific research in the United States revolving around the impact of alcohol and the evolving drug problems on the human physiology to determine susceptibility and dependency factors.

Significant discoveries of various neurotransmitter systems and their potential involvement in the numerous systems within the brain began to form a meaningful foundation for understanding just how thoughts, feelings and actions were produced, interpreted, and utilized by chemicals in the brain and body.

Research scientists at NeuroGenesis, Inc., using this information which had been duplicated and validated within the scientific community, discovered methods of using certain nutritional substances, in particular certain amino acids, to alter the negative effects associated with drugs and alcohol and allow a person to regain normalcy as part of a directed recovery plan.

During this same time period the NGI scientists documented how the trauma of everyday stress on a person's life could set up the biochemical susceptibilities that influenced the positive impact of drugs (prescription and otherwise) on the over-burdened individual, how this drug-effect happened and how it could be reversed while bringing relief to the individual and health to the neurochemistry.

These findings were patented with the US government and became the foundation for our products at that time. To this day these findings are still valid. The first product produced by NGI was called SAAVE (Special Amino Acids and Vitamin Enteral) and was immediately successful in its use in alcohol recovery. The name SAAVE was changed to NeuRecover DA for business reasons and is now known as NeuRecover. From this formulation was developed our "Flagship" product NeuBecalm'd which has been tremendously helpful in trauma and stress related issues as well as ongoing support for recovery efforts associated with alcohol and other drugs. Soon followed Tropamine which was formulated to combat the effects of the then highly used cocaine and amphetamines. Tropamine was renamed NeuRecover SA and is now known as NeuReplenish. Also, early research in problems controlling weight prompted NGI to introduce a product originally called Neuroslim and now labeled NeuSlim as an adjunct in weight loss and maintenance.

Over the years research continued to validate the earlier findings, and as information was accumulated from clinics using our products for recovery efforts (and published as Clinical Reviews) NGI continued to assess the impact of early formulas and make slight alterations of nutritional ingredients as determined by continued clinical use and reports.

Since that time all information available from scientific sources continues to validate the original basic formulations as correct. NGI has continued with this foundational premise and developed a nutritional alternative for assistance with the tapering and discontinuance of Benzodiazepine drugs (tranquilizers) known originally as NeuRecover BZ and now labeled NeuRelieve.

As information became available regarding the impact of opiate based drugs on our communities, the combination of NeuBecalm'd and NeuRelieve provided not only the needed building blocks for effected chemistry, but also provided for the actual repairing of the altered chemistry thru enzyme inhibition.
