- An Awesome Thing

The brain is an awesome thing! It is a tremendously complex and powerful organ - so intricate and detailed that all of our feelings, sensitivities, memories, emotions, responses, actions and reactions; as well as, all of our thought processes, physical movements and sensory perception are generated and stored in this organ that typically weighs around 3 lbs. in an adult.

Your brain is made of billions of nerve cells, called neurons. Neurons have the amazing ability to gather and transmit electrochemical signals called neurotransmitters from one neuron to another. There are many different neurotransmitters - some trigger the sending neuron to send an impulse and others stop it from doing so.

A simplified explanation is that the "sending site" releases the neurochemical, while the "receiving site" takes it in. The space between these two is called a synapse. When a receptor receives the neurochemical, it will either pass the impulse on or it will inhibit (stop) the impulse, depending on the neurotransmitter released.

There are many sending sites and many receiving sites. When the receiving sites are full, any chemical that remains in the synapse is re-absorbed into a "holding tank," awaiting the next signal to be used. This process is called reuptake.

For the health and maintenance of the brain cells and their neurochemical messengers, a balance of vitamins, minerals, amino acids and other nutrients must be present. If the brain receives improper or insufficient amounts of these key nutrient building blocks, we may experience serious problems with our neurotransmitters and with our health.

Amino acids, along with the vitamins, minerals, enzymes and co-enzymes needed for proper absorption, are the precursors that allow these neurotransmitters to build to normal levels and in turn, allow the body and brain to maintain proper, balanced functioning. When these nutrients are not adequately supplied through our daily diet, they must be added through nutritional supplementation.

Without being too simplistic, when this transmission of neurochemicals is in short supply or depleted, we are no longer able to control our feelings and emotions, we find ourselves in tears, feel fearful and irritable, experience low self-worth, and although we're exhausted we cannot get to or stay asleep . We become lethargic - unable to accomplish or enjoy the simplest things or the most precious people in our lives.

But, when our neurotransmitters are functioning optimally, we think clearly and logically, sleep and dream well, feel emotional love and respect for ourselves and others, maintain a calm, positive mood, finish projects with enthusiasm, have the energy needed for our busy schedules, have an overall sense of well being, etc....

NeuroGenesis' patented products are a unique blend of these vital amino acids and other essential nutrients, and are designed to help repair the chemical imbalances brought on by the on-going effects of every day stress, the extended use of chemical stimulants or depressants, and numerous other circumstances that cause our neurochemistry to become deficient or altered. We combine the best nature has to offer with cutting-edge scientific research and give you a new beginning for life!

Not only that, but NGI products allow the brain to produce neurotransmitters naturally, while also allowing reuptake to occur naturally!
